Assistant Professor Takamasa Sakai, Department of Bioengineering, received the PNG Young Investigator Award in Polymer Network Group Meeting & Gel Symposium 2014.。

The Polymer Networks Group (PNG) is an independent international organization for the promotion of international contacts and the stimulation of research in the field of polymer networks established in 1975.

The award is given to recognize outstanding achievement of young investigators in the field of polymer networks and gels and to encourage young scientists and engineers to enter this field.

Relationship between the structure and mechanical properties of polymer gels with controlled network structure.

<Comments>

I received the award for fundamental research on polymer gels. I would like to develop new gel materials for practical application, based on the fundamental understanding of polymer gels.
