Report of Japanese Language Class of the School of Engineering 「Do you know RAKUGO?」

On October 29th, Mr. Matt Shores, who researches early modern and late modern Japanese literature and traditional Japanese performing arts, performed Rakugo, a form of traditional Japanese storytelling.

He performed in both Japanese and English.
The event was a first experience for most of the foreign students who participated, and the classroom was filled with laughter as Mr. Shores performed one Rakugo and three Kobanashi.
Everyone in the room laughed throughout his presentation and his workshop.
We hope everyone enjoyed the chance to learn about Rakugo as part of Japanese culture!
The JLCse would like to express sincere appreciation to Mr. Shores for providing his time, effort, knowledge, and enthusiasm. Thank you very much, Matt!
