2013 School of Engineering Professional Retirement Conference (March 6, 2014)

 

  On Thursday, March 6th, the School of Engineering held a farewell party for retiring professors in the exhibition room of engineering building #2. Professor Hiroshi Kagemoto (Department of Systems Innovation) and Professor Takashi Chikayama (Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Systems) are retiring at the end of fiscal year 2013. Professor Takashi Chikayama attended the party with 19 participants.

  Moderated by Professor Ryuji Matsuhashi, the head of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Systems, the party was opened with remarks by Professor Seiichi Koshizuka, the head of the Department of Systems Innovation, and followed with an address from Professor Noboru Harata, the Dean of the Graduate School of Engineering. After a toast on behalf of all attendants by Professor Takayuki Terai, the head of the Institute of Engineering Innovation, conversation started.

  Professor Masayuki Nakao, the Vice-chairman of the Faculty Meeting, presented a medal to Professor Takashi Chikayama, and Professor Takashi Chikayama expressed greetings of retiring. Professor Mamoru Mitsuishi, the Vice-dean of the Graduate School of Engineering, and Professor Toshihiko Koseki, the Vice-dean of the Graduate School of Engineering, conveyed their sincere thanks to the retiring professors, and the party ended in a warm atmosphere.
