Associate Professor Yoshihiro Kawahara wins Best Paper Award at ACM International Joint Conference on Pervasive and Ubiquitous Computing 2013

Associate Professor Yoshihiro Kawahara at the University of Tokyo, and researchers from Georgia Tech, and Microsoft Research have developed a method to fabricate various types of electrical circuits and components such as an antenna and sensors on flexible surfaces. The technique uses commercially available silver-nano particle ink, paper, conductive tapes and home inkjet printers. Compared to existing fabrication methods, time and cost to fabricate electrical circuits are reduced to one hundredth. The research result won a best paper award at ACM International Joint Conference on Pervasive and Ubiquitous Computing (UbiComp 2013) in September 2013.
