Special English Lessons (SEL) 2016 Winter Semester

The “Special English Lessons (SEL)” program is open to all UTokyo students. The program was started by the School of Engineering in 2005, aiming to improve the English skills of 3rd and 4th-year undergraduates through lessons provided by several private English schools. Since April 2010, SEL is open to all students including non-engineering and graduate students. Four schools provide conversation courses and two schools provide preparation courses for TOEFL (Test Of English as a Foreign Language), all under supervision of the GWP (Global Ware Project). Aimed at students, the courses are reasonably priced and the lessons take place on-campus, after the regular lectures. The SEL 2016 Winter Semester will be held from 20 October 2016 through 20 January 2017.
