We have established the methodology for one-step construction of a substructure found in natural products synthesized by bacteria, fungi, and plants. This methodology enabled the significant reduction in synthetic steps, leading to the three-step synthesis of (−)-tetramethyldecanoic acid, a natural product secreted by a goose.

It is a great honor to receive the poster award. I would like to thank Prof. Kyoko Nozoki and lab members for their support.
