Japanese Language Class of the School of Engineering Ikebana demonstration

On November 4 th, the JLCse hosted an ikebana demonstration by the Headmaster of the Ichiyo School of ikebana.
Mr. Kasuya, the headmaster, created a dynamic flower world with various kinds of plants such as the Texas bluebell, gloriosa, Japanese quince, enkianthus perulatus, and so on.
He arranged four forms of flowers (an upright form, a flat form, a slanting form and a hanging form) and one taisaku.
The audience enjoyed a wonderful experience.
Through this demonstration, students were able to experience ikebana as a part of Japanese culture.
We truly appreciate all the work and assistance provided by Mr. Kasuya and members from the Ichiyo School of Ikebana.
