The University of Tokyo and JAXA announced the end of operation of TRICOM-1R

 

The University of Tokyo and JAXA announced that the nanosat "TRICOM-1R" has finished its half year operation as of 22 Aug. 2018. It has been launched by JAXA's world smallest Rocket "SS-520-5" on Feb. 3rd, 2018, and originally planned to operate for about 30 days.  

TRICOM-1R succeeded in planned experiments including Store and Forward communication experiment, capturing Earth images by camera and autonomous operation experiments. We estimate that TRICOM-1R got burn out during reentry into Earth atmosphere on August 22nd.
