On 22th November 2019,Natsuki MAEDA (M2), Departments of Bioengineering, received Outstanding Student Award at the The 32nd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Alternatives to Animal Experiments.

●About awarded research
Title: Establishment of a liver model using human induced pluripotent stem cells-derived various liver cells to construct a liver fibrosis model
Liver fibrosis results in various chronic liver diseases. In this study, we investigated development of a physiological in vitro liver tissue model using human induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells-derived various liver cells for the study of liver fibrosis.



It is an honor to receive this award. I greatly appreciate the support of Prof. Yasuyuki Sakai, my lab members and research collaborators. I will keep on trying to achieve the final goal.
